Happy New Year! This is the year 5779 on the Jewish civil calendar. The “new year” is also called Rosh Hashana, which means “head of the year.”
Even though I didn’t grow up this way, I’m so glad I know about the feasts of God because I enjoy meeting with my Daddy God every opportunity He has appointed to worship Him and to fellowship with others. How many of you know whenever you take time to meet with Daddy God to worship and adore Him, there’s ALWAYS something good in it for you because an open portal of blessings is over the meeting place. Although we meet with our God because we love Him, you just can’t outgive Daddy God because He’s unconditional love.
In His Presence is everything you need or desire: blessing, encouragement, strength, healing, deliverance, comfort, miracles and provision. He’s a good, good heavenly Father! God has always desired to dwell with His people just like He abided with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden in the book of Genesis before they sinned. After Adam and Even severed this divine communion because of sin, God didn’t just throw them to the curb, He sent His only Begotten Son, Jesus our Lord and Savior, Yeshua HaMashiach, to redeem us by His death on Calvary’s cross, where He shed His sinless blood to forgive a sin debt we could never pay.
Why? So that He could dwell in our hearts and among us by His Spirit when we meet together. Ephesians 2:7 says:
“…that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
Oh, how the Father loves you and me! As a believer in the New Covenant, I don’t “have to” practice the feasts, I get too. And boy has our lives changed as we move in lockstep with Daddy God’s rhythm and timetable. We have more energy, joy, faith, wisdom, revelation and power to do God’s will. Life is more enjoyable and problems seem easier to process and handle. You can learn more about the feasts of God by reading Leviticus 23:1-44. A great book to read that breaks them down is Larry Huch’s, “The Torah Blessing.”
More Christians are embracing our Jewish roots, after all, Jesus (Yeshua) was a Jew so that we can walk in more power in every day life, according to God’s commandments and promises. Moreover, more Jews are confessing Yeshua as their Messiah, so we’re indeed becoming the “one new man” Apostle Paul taught and prophesied about in the New Covenant (Eph. 2:14-22). We are becoming the “Bride of Christ” without spot, wrinkle or blemish shining more brightly with His glory to save, heal and deliver the lost and oppressed in these end times. What a glorious time to be alive in Him!
Prayers for you in this new season:
God’s grace, His unmerited favor, will continually rest upon you and your family, perfecting and completing every area of your life as you walk by faith and not by sight. God’s grace, His unmerited favor, will continually empower you with the ability to birth your dreams into manifestation by faith, glorifying Him and empowering you to create wealth to establish His covenant on earth, and to care for your family, including aging parents, orphans, and widows and to support your local church or ministry. In Jesus’ name. Amen and amen!
Priestly Blessing taken from the new One New Man Bible edited by Rev. William J. Morford
“And the LORD* spoke to Moses saying, “Speak to Aaron and to his sons saying, In this way you will bless the children of Israel, saying to them, ‘The LORD* will bless you and He will keep you.The LORD* will make His face to shine upon you and He will be gracious to you.The LORD* will lift His countenance to you and He will establish Shalom for you.’ And they will put My name upon the children of Israel and I will bless them.” Nu. 6:22-27 One New Man Bible
