As 2011 has kicked off, I’d like to exhort you to shift into position to live under an open heaven through obedience to God, which will catapult you deeper into your purpose and destiny. Jesus paid the price for your sins by dying on the cross, so that you can live the abundant life. John 10:10 This present day truth of the abundant life is an expectation of Jesus for every kingdom believer.

This abundant life manifests when you identify and serve your gifts to mankind doing what God called you to do. There are specific mandates God has given you to fulfill in these end-times to release His kingdom from within you to impact the world.

Putting God first place in your life gives you continual access to an open heaven on earth. Just as God gave His best or first-fruit to mankind, Jesus Christ to forgive our sins, you should give your best or first-fruit to Him everyday by spending time in His presence and in His word. This priority expresses your love for God. Matt. 22:37 It pleases Him.

Immersing yourself first thing everyday in Him through praise and worship, prayer, devotion, meditation and reading the word releases the Spirit of prophecy, so you can hear God speak. There are great free on-line “read the bible through in a year” schedules to keep you on track. Also incorporate regular studying, fasting and praying, testifying and sharing the gospel with unbelievers to expand the kingdom.

If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord of your life or you have left your first love, and you’re fed up with the same old, same old, right now position yourself to live under an open heaven by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior or by rededicating your life to Him. He will help you resolve issues, break addictions and meet unmet needs that caused you to sin as your grow in Him.

Pray this prayer right now: “Lord Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I confess you as Lord of my life. I believe you died and was raised from the dead for the forgiveness of my sins. Come into my heart right now and save me.” Welcome into the family of God! Rom. 10:9-10 Next find a great bible-believing church to fellowship and to learn about the benefits of living in God’s kingdom. Matt. 6:33 As a believer, you maintain access to an open heaven by obeying God and repenting when you sin or miss the mark. I John 1:9

In this new year, God says He loves you, He loves you, He loves you! There’s is nothing you can do or change that will cause His everlasting, immutable love for you to stop. He doesn’t love the sin, but He loves you so much that He created you in His likeness and image (Gen. 1:26-28) and has given you dominion and authority to live the good life, expanding His kingdom in the earth.

The good life will manifest as you make a quality decision to focus on what you enjoy doing. If you can’t nail down what you do best because you do many things, ask those closest to you what they believe is your greatest strength.

For example, I enjoy using my voice to speak, teach, preach, pray, prophesy. I enjoy using my body to dance, and I like writing too. But my dominant gift is vocal.

Ask the Holy Spirit to take you back to your childhood and show you what you enjoyed doing most. When I did this, the Holy Spirit showed me how I was always on stage in front of an audience doing speeches, TV and radio programs, school announcements, plays and recitations. He showed me the choreography and dance competitions. He also showed me the writing I had done crafting speeches and sermons. But there was a greater degree of my vocal gift. Today, I do all three. I make a living speaking and writing as a sales executive, while I operate Pure Freedom to equip dancers, leaders and intercessors to have a personal relationship with Jesus and to fulfill their purpose and destiny.

If you have various interests, this could indicate you have the motivational gift of a teacher. Rom. 12: 6-8. Determine and cultivate your motivational gift and you’ll be better positioned to financially reap from it and leave a generational legacy for your grand-children and spiritual children as well.

God is waiting for you to position yourself at His feet every day because you are so special to Him. He wants to remove strongholds from your mind and to reveal your purpose, release you into your destiny and multiply your inheritance for future generations. Just one idea from God can change your life forever, so spend time with Him in the secret place to learn His voice.

In closing, the other day as I was working at my desk, my grand-son Jaylen, who is four years old, jumped into my lap. I stopped what I was doing and he said to me with a great, big smile on his face, “Grandma, I reeeaaalllllyyy love you,” and snuggled in my arms.

Those words melted my heart and I wanted to give him the world at that moment. I continued to snuggle with him and asked him what he wanted. This is how God feels about us when we spend quality time in His presence praising and worshipping Him, not asking for a thing. He gives us the desires of our hearts.

An open heaven is your covenant blessing as a Kingdom believer as you continue to sincerely seek God’s face and not His hand and use your gift for His glory. Matt. 6:33 I speak increase over you and your family in 2011!
